At the end of 2022, a group of volunteers started an ambitious initiative to help make Brandevoort a community where people are there for one another and actively seek connection: Kansrijk Brandevoort.
With Kansrijk Brandevoort, volunteers work together with the neighborhood council, local groups, and professional organizations to improve the individual well-being of residents and to create and maintain a neighborhood where everyone feels at home. The initiative is based on trust, lowering barriers, strengthening social cohesion, and maintaining a positive outlook on meeting and working together. A neighborhood where everyone can participate.
Several activities have already been launched under Kansrijk Brandevoort. Some examples include:
Sharing cabinets at the Brandevoort community garden
These cabinets contain surplus fruit and vegetables from the harvest that residents may take for free. They are also intended for non-perishable food items donated by people who have more than they need.
Helping Hands team (in development)
A team is being set up to help people who are no longer able to carry out certain tasks themselves, such as small household jobs or helping to tidy up gardens. Enthusiastic volunteers are welcome to join.
Buddy program
Volunteers are sought to act as a buddy, for example by doing grocery shopping together or enjoying a cup of coffee together.
Digital Wish Box
Through the Digital Wish Box, wishes for yourself or for others can be submitted. Wishes can be sent to
info@kansrijkbrandevoort.nl. We do our utmost to fulfill them.
Financial support
If you need help getting your finances back in order, please reach out. We are looking for experts who can provide assistance in this area.
Neighborhood prevention and community teams
These teams are formed by representatives of local residents and aim to maintain neighborhood safety through a joint, preventive approach and to create new connections within the community. Many of these teams are currently inactive, and volunteers are being sought to help rebuild them in their neighborhoods.
