Wijkraad Brandevoort is a foundation whose purpose is to promote livability and safety in the Brandevoort neighborhood.
To achieve this, it monitors and, where possible, influences developments in the neighborhood and fosters mutual understanding among residents. It also coordinates the many associations, working groups, foundations, committees, active professionals, and other organizations in the neighborhood, including the Municipality of Helmond, the LEV group, Jibb+, community police officers, and others.
The Wijkraad is also involved in responding to questions and requests, collecting and, where possible, resolving complaints, and, if needed, serving as a referral point. The Wijkraad encourages the formation of working groups and supports new initiatives that improve the livability of the neighborhood.
Members of the Wijkraad participate in consultative bodies and organizations that are important to the community.
To carry out certain tasks, the Wijkraad manages the budget provided by the Municipality and other institutions and seeks additional financial support where possible.
