Brandevoort aan de Kook is a unique and cozy neighborhood initiative in Brandevoort where cooking and connecting go hand in hand. The event, held annually since 2018, brings residents together for an evening full of surprises, flavorful dishes, and new connections. It’s not about culinary perfection, but about sharing food, building connections, and having fun in a familiar neighborhood setting.
🌟 How it works
Participants sign up as a pair and prepare one course of a three-course menu for six people.
On the evening itself, each duo is informed which course they will prepare, but only upon arrival do you discover who you are cooking for and where you will enjoy the other courses.
You start with the appetizer at someone’s home, then move to a different location for the main course, and finish at a third address for dessert.
After the three courses, everyone gathers for drinks at community center ’t Brandpunt to share experiences and close the evening together.
🍷 Why participate?
Brandevoort aan de Kook is much more than just dining: it’s a creative way to get to know your neighbors, discover new flavors, and create a warm and social community event together. Whether you’re an experienced home cook or simply enjoy meeting new people — this evening strengthens neighborhood bonds and guarantees great stories.
